Mode and model switch on the running chat. Anything else restarts the session with the new settings, and the conversation carries on.
A little pixel Clawd walks to wherever Claude is reading or editing, types while it works and lights up the lines it changed. When Claude is busy in another file, he waits on that file's tab. Drag him onto a line to hand it to the chat, or click him to say hi.
Help Claude offers without being asked. Turn it all off with the first switch, or one at a time. Margin notes read each file you save with a quick model, so they cost tokens and start off. Nothing is ever posted or changed without you pressing a button.

Everything in these folders is in the tree, in search and within Claude's reach. Removing a folder only takes it out of the workspace; nothing on disk is touched.
IntelliSense comes from a language server for each language: completion, hover, go to definition, find references, rename, formatting and live errors. TypeScript, JavaScript, JSON, CSS and HTML are built in; for the rest, install the server and it starts on its own the next time a file of that language opens.
Checking…
Fracture Studio checks when it starts and every few hours after. With automatic updates on, a new version downloads in the background and is installed the next time you choose Restart; nothing restarts on its own. Every release is signed, and a download is only run once its signature and checksum both match. A build you compiled yourself never updates itself - only an installed copy does.
Not set up
Shows the editor, the project, the file and how long the session has been running. Turning off file names still shows that Fracture Studio is open, without saying what you have open. Needs a Discord application id in fracture-studio.json; with none set, nothing is sent anywhere.
Checking…
Adds Fracture Studio to your applications menu and to Open With for folders and source files in your file manager. Nothing becomes the default for any file type, and only your own user account is changed. The .deb, .rpm and Arch packages do this for every user already; this is for the AppImage.
Every panel - Explorer, Search, Source Control, GitHub, Memory, the terminal and Claude - can sit in the left, right or bottom dock, share a dock as tabs, or float over the code. Press Ctrl+Alt+L (or the board button on the rail) and drag a tab by its grip. Double-click a tab to float it; double-click a floating window's header to put it back.
What the running Claude session reports: each server and how many tools it gives Claude.
Saved to .mcp.json in your first folder and passed to Claude with --mcp-config. The session restarts with it and keeps the conversation.
Commands that run on their own at points in Claude's work - after it edits a file, when it finishes a turn. Kept in .claude/settings.json in your first folder, where Claude reads them.
